Volunteers for the camp:

The East of the River Career Exposure Camp is looking for volunteers to help mentor and motivate students while also assisting with daily camp duties such as supervising activities and meal preparation. The 2019 summer session begins August 5th and ends August 16th.

The East of the River Career Exposure Camp is a two week, summer youth enrichment program for 20 students, who will be enrolled in the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade in Fall 2019. The youth will be introduced to STEAM professional careers with an emphasis in science, math, reading, creativity and critical thinking.

Volunteers for DCNOMA:

The Washington DC Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (DCNOMA) is looking for volunteers who can help facilitate and and assist with implementing an architectural curriculum for the attendees of the 2019 East of the River Career Exposure Camp. The camp sessions will take place August 7th - 9th at the DC Dream Center in SE Washington, DC. We are looking for volunteers to create and teach an architectural curriculum, organize field trips, and reach out to the architectural community for assistance with supplies.

The volunteer orientation packet is attached for those that are interested. We need this filled out for anyone who will be volunteering, presenters who are not working with the kids do not need to fill it out. The Volunteer Application Packet must be completed and returned no later than August 2nd,
